Action continued at the Billabong Pro Shikoku, a QS 1,000 WSL Japan Tour event, at Ikumi Beach, Toyo Town, Koch. The competition saw the men's Round of 96 and women's Round of 32. The conditions at Ikumi Beach were 1-to-2 feet.

The day began with a standout performance from 15-year-old Joh Azuchi (JPN), who backed up a 6.75 with a 6.25 for one of the higher heat totals of the day.

In Heat 5, Ryo Kodama (JPN) scored an 8.00 and a backup score of 6.25, giving him the highest score of the round.

The WSL Japan and JPSA co-sanctioned QS 1,000 events will run through Sunday, June 7th.
