During the shark attack at the J-Bay Open, the South African Water Safety Patrol responded swiftly to help get Mick Fanning (AUS) and Julian Wilson (AUS) to safety. The skill and bravery of this professional rescuers fraternity was also demonstrated last year by a separate team in Tahiti, who will continue to keep a watchful gaze on the elite at Stop No. 7 the Billabong Pro Tahiti.
